St Vincent’s College is an Independent Day and Boarding school offering a contemporary Catholic education for girls in years 7-12. Position Purpose and Overview





The Deputy Principal is in a privileged relationship and is an immediate support to the College Principal in all aspects of the College’s mission. The College Deputy deputises for the Principal when the Principal is unavailable, can act as Head of Agency in the absence of the Principal and can represent the College at community and broader community events.

The Deputy Principal exercises a public ministry in the Catholic Church and has a specific role in the Stewardship of the College Ethos, College Values and Spirituality that form the sacred legacy of the Sisters of Charity and now form the mission of Mary Aikenhead Ministries.

The Deputy Principal has specific roles but must also understand that the role cannot be fully defined into “tasks”. It is also important to note that as the College has a recent Principal commencing in 2027, the role of College Deputy will be subject to revision as the new Principal identifies her own priorities for the role.
