- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to assess damage and required repairs.
- Prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates using industry-standard software.
- Collaborate with body shop technicians and managers to ensure that repair work meets quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs, timelines, and costs.
- Provide follow-up support and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the repair process.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive repair techniques, materials, and industry trends.
- Assist in managing parts procurement and inventory control as needed.
- Handle insurance claims and coordinate with insurance adjusters to facilitate smooth processing.
- Participate in continuous training and development activities to enhance estimating skills and knowledge.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in assessing damage and loss for vehicles and assets.
- Skilled in inspecting and evaluating damage, estimating repair or replacement costs, and preparing detailed reports.
- Strong knowledge of insurance policies and procedures with the ability to act efficiently to minimize the cost of claims for the insurance company.
- Experience using industry software such as Audanet or similar advantageous.
Desired Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive estimating, body repair, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of insurance claims processes and documentation requirements.
- Experience in customer service and handling client interactions positively.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary: $74,000 - $85,000 annually (AUD)
