We are seeking a skilled and motivated Boilermaker / Metal Fabricator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the fabrication, repair, and installation of high-quality metal productssuch as Colorbond fencing, gates, aluminium screens, and structural componentsfor residential and commercial projects across the ACT.

Key Responsibilities

- Fabricate, weld, and assemble a variety of metal components (fencing, gates, screens, structural parts) in line with specifications and drawings.
- Read and interpret technical plans, ensuring accuracy in measuring, cutting, grinding, and finishing.
- Operate fabrication machinery and hand tools, including welders, press brakes, and shears.
- Fit and install fabricated components onsite, ensuring correct alignment, secure installation, and quality workmanship.
- Conduct quality checks during fabrication and installation to ensure compliance with company and B&D; standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised,



and safe workshop environment while adhering to WHS protocols.
- Work collaboratively with project managers, installers, and tradespeople to deliver projects on time.
- Provide input on project timelines and labour requirements where required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in fabrication and installation processes.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

- Trade qualification as a Boilermaker, Metal Fabricator, or equivalent.
- Proven experience in welding (MIG, TIG, and ARC) and metal fabrication.
- Competence in operating fabrication machinery and power tools.
- Solid ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong eye for detail and precision.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Current drivers licence and willingness to travel to job sites within Canberra.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting and handling heavy materials safely.

Salary: $76,515 - $95,000
