Medical Coordinator

Are you a Registered Nurse and natural communicator looking to apply your clinical expertise in a new setting? In this telephone‑based role within a skilled office environment, you’ll work rotating day and night shifts, making critical decisions that balance medical, financial, and logistical needs. Your clinical expertise and empathy will support the care and safety of travellers around the globe.

About Us

For more than 60 years, we’ve been dedicated to supporting travellers on their adventures, offering exceptional care and 24/7 medical assistance. Our world‑class travel insurance products, backed by a global network of medical and assistance providers, have helped more than 1.3 million travellers with an average of more than 13 repatriations a day around the world, caring for people in the moments that matter most.

About the role

As a Medical Coordinator, you’ll provide timely clinical advice, manage complex cases, and coordinate global medical care, including repatriations and evacuations, while liaising with international providers and collaborating closely with other internal teams to achieve the best outcomes for travellers. This is an opportunity to make a real impact and grow your career in medical assistance and travel insurance.

What We’re Looking For

- AHPRA‑registered Nurse with 5+ years’ clinical experience, ideally in Emergency, Aviation,

or Telemedicine.
- Strong assessment/Triage skills and ability to work autonomously (as well as part of a team).
- Post‑graduate degrees in Emergency, Critical Care and Aviation desirable.
- Strong IT skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high‑pressure setting.
- Calm, solutions‑focused professionals, with excellent communication skills in English (listening, speaking, and writing), additional language proficiency highly regarded.
- Previous experience in travel insurance, medical assistance, or coordinating medical repatriations will be highly regarded.

What’s in it for you

- Recognition and rewards through team appreciation programs and a competitive bonus scheme.
- Hybrid working arrangements with an expectation of approximately 50% office‑based and 50% work‑from‑home, designed to support flexibility while maintaining team collaboration and service standards.
- Outstanding career growth and development opportunities, supported by ongoing training to enhance your clinical expertise and product knowledge.
- A positive, collaborative, and supportive team culture that empowers you to succeed.
