Position Overview An established international gold mining company with operations in Malaysia and Western Australia is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Chief Geologist – Gold Exploration to lead the Company's exploration, resource growth, reserve conversion, and mine expansion programs across multiple operations.

This executive leadership role is responsible for developing and implementing exploration strategies that support resource replacement, mine life extension, sustainable production, and long-term asset growth. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across multiple operations while working closely with the CEO and site leadership teams to maximise the Company's exploration success and overall mineral asset value.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Exploration & Resource Growth Leadership

- Lead and manage the Company's exploration, resource growth, reserve conversion, and mine expansion programs across Malaysia and Western Australia.

- Develop exploration strategies, annual objectives, budgets, schedules, and performance targets to support resource replacement, mine life extension, and new discoveries.

- Identify, evaluate, and prioritise exploration opportunities that create long-term value for the Company.

- Support sustainable mine production through ongoing resource and reserve growth initiatives.

Exploration Program Management

- Direct and oversee the implementation, coordination, and delivery of approved exploration programs, drilling campaigns, technical studies, and resource development activities.

- Manage geological, exploration, technical, and project resources to ensure programs are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.

- Monitor exploration performance, milestones, budgets, and schedules.

- Manage external consultants, laboratories, drilling contractors, and technical service providers.

Mine Expansion

Malaysia Operations

- Lead mine expansion and near-mine exploration programs.

- Increase resources and reserves to support long-term Life of Mine (LOM) growth.

- Integrate exploration outcomes into mine planning and development activities.

Western Australia Operations





- Oversee and advance exploration programs across Western Australian assets.

- Support resource growth and future mine development opportunities.

- Maintain a pipeline of exploration targets to support long-term production objectives.

Technical Governance & Reporting

- Oversee resource estimation, geological modelling, reserve conversion, and technical reporting.

- Support resource reporting, due diligence reviews, technical studies, and economic evaluations.

- Prepare and review technical reports, public disclosures, and resource statements in accordance with recognised industry reporting standards (e.g. JORC).

- Establish geological standards, QA/QC protocols, data management systems, and reporting requirements across the Company.

- Ensure technical integrity, consistency, and compliance across all exploration and geological activities.

- Provide timely technical analysis, recommendations, and critical findings to the CEO.

Strategic Leadership

- Provide technical leadership and recommendations to the CEO regarding:

- Exploration opportunities

- Resource growth strategies

- Mine expansion initiatives

- Project development

- Acquisition opportunities

- Geological and technical risks

- Participate in corporate strategic planning and technical reviews.

- Contribute as a member of the Company's Technical Group.

Team & Consultant Management

- Lead and mentor geology and exploration teams across multiple operations.

- Provide leadership in implementing exploration strategies at each operation site.

- Engage and manage external consultants and specialist technical providers.

- Manage technical contracts and resource allocation.

Data & Systems Governance

- Oversee geological databases, GIS platforms, and exploration information systems.

- Ensure data integrity, security, accessibility, and reporting consistency.

- Promote best-practice utilisation of geological and exploration data across the Company.

Reporting Structure The Chief Geologist is functionally accountable to the CEO for the Company's exploration strategy, technical governance, resource growth, reserve conversion, mine expansion programs,



and geological leadership.

Operationally, the Chief Geologist works closely with the respective General Managers at each operation to ensure exploration activities align with site priorities and business objectives.

The Chief Geologist is also a member of the Company's Technical Group and contributes to broader corporate technical and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Geology or a related geological discipline.

- Minimum 15–20 years of experience in gold exploration and resource development.

- Proven track record of delivering resource growth and near-mine reserve replacement.

- Solid experience managing exploration programs, drilling campaigns, and technical studies.

- Demonstrated experience overseeing resource estimation and geological modelling.

- Experience preparing or reviewing public mineral resource reports under recognised industry reporting standards (e.g. JORC).

- Experience in open-pit gold operations preferred.

- Strong leadership, people management, and executive-level communication skills.

- Experience reporting directly to CEOs, Boards, or Executive Leadership.

- Strong commercial and strategic decision-making capability.

- Experience working across multiple jurisdictions; Australia and Southeast Asia experience highly regarded.

- Willingness to travel regularly between Malaysia and Western Australia.
