North Shore Veterinary Hospital is seeking a compassionate and reliable Full-Time Animal Attendant to join our team. Situated on Sydney's Lower North Shore, we are near the beautiful Sydney Harbour and have excellent access to Sydney's Public Transport network (Trains & Buses). About The Role
- Prepare the hospital and wards for incoming patients
- Clean cages, bedding, and patients as needed throughout the day, ensuring the hospital remains tidy and hygienic
- Feed patients according to specific instructions
- Walk hospital patients at the required times
- Assist veterinary nurses with their duties
- Monitor patients for any unusual or concerning behavior, communicating with fellow staff members when necessary
About You
- Take direction and work with initiative, adaptability, and the ability to work autonomously
- Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally
- Be reliable, confident, and compassionate
- Exhibit good organizational and time management skills
- Show a caring and respectful approach toward all animals
- Have a strong desire to learn current skills
- Preferably be studying for a Cert II or III in Animal Studies, although all applicants are welcome to apply
