JS Careers are currently looking for an experienced Senior Portfolio Risk Manager who is technically proficient in theuse of SAS/SQL. This person will sit as a senior part of the credit risk team for a major bank focusing on dataanalytics across their consumer lending portfolios.

Key responsibilities include:

- Work closely with the credit analysts and portfolio managers, in providing risk management data analysis to aid in the management of the secured and unsecured credit portfolio.
- Develop and track mortgage models to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide technical, data and portfolio analysis in support of stress testing and provisioning processes.
- The production of monthly/quarterly reporting requirements.
- Streamline and automate data extraction in order to improve efficiencies in the reporting process.




Develop a deep understanding of the banks product offerings and customer databases.

The suitable candidate will possess:

- 6+ years relevant portfolio management / data analytics experience is required. Financial services experience ishighly regarded.
- Tertiary qualifications in an analytical subject i.e Mathematics/Statistics or other related disciplines.
- An understanding of retail banking products (residential mortgages, credit cards, personal loans preferred).
- Proven experience in managing a team of technical analysts.
- Experience in SAS/SQL programming is required.
- Excellent organisation, communication and the ability to effectively manage time.
- Excellent problem solving ability.
