We're looking for a proactive, customer-focused and tech-savvy ITOperations Assistant to join our Sydney team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, learning new technologies and delivering exceptional customer service in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Reporting to theHead of Technology,you'll support our operations by providing day-to-day IT support, maintaining business systems, onboarding new team members and assisting with technology projects across the business. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to initiatives involving AI, automation and digital workplace solutions.

Key Responsibilities

IT Support & Operations

- Provide first-level IT support to team members across multiple locations.
- Respond to Help Desk requests promptly, resolving issues or escalating where required.
- Support Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams and other cloud-based business applications.
- Set up and configure laptops, mobile devices and user accounts for new employees.
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including hardware allocation and system access.
- Maintain the IT asset register and support equipment audits.
- Monitor key business systems and report any issues requiring attention.
- Assist with routine system maintenance and software updates.

Business Applications & Technology

- Provide support for business applications, including Microsoft 365 and hospitality systems such asBepoz POS.
- Assist with testing and rolling out new business applications and system updates.
- Support meeting room technology, audiovisual equipment and video conferencing systems.
- Help maintain system documentation, user guides and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Assist with integrations between business systems where required.
- Support the rollout and adoption of AI tools and new workplace technologies.




- Assist with simple workflow automations using Microsoft Power Automate and other business applications.
- Help identify opportunities to improve processes through technology and automation.
- Participate in technology improvement projects and digital initiatives across the business.

Reporting & Administration

- Assist with preparing reports using Microsoft Excel, Power BI and other reporting tools.
- Support data validation, database maintenance and record management.
- Document support processes, workflows and system changes.
- Help monitor system performance and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
- Provide hands-on support for technology across our Sydney locations.
- Install and troubleshoot computers, printers, networking equipment and meeting room technology.
- Assist with office technology moves, equipment replacements and new office setups.
- Support technology rollouts, upgrades and new location openings as required.

About You

We're looking for someone who is passionate about technology, enjoys helping people and is eager to learn. You don't need to know everything as we're looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong customer service skills and a willingness to develop their technical knowledge. Ideally, you'll have:

- A Certificate IV, Diploma or TAFE qualification in Information Technology or a related field (or be working towards one).
- 1-2 years' experience in an IT Support, Service Desk or similar customer-facing technology role (graduates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply).
- A genuine interest in technology, business systems and emerging AI tools.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.




- Flexibility to occasionally assist outside standard business hours during projects or system maintenance.

Technical Skills

Exposure to or an interest in learning some of the following technologies is desirable:

- Apple macOS and Windows operating systems
- Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive)
- Help Desk or ticketing systems
- Bepoz Point of Sale or other POS systems (desirable)
- Meeting room and audiovisual technology
- Networking fundamentals (Wi-Fi, TCP/IP and switching)
- Cloud-based business applications (SaaS)
- AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT or similar (desirable)
