Key Responsibilities

Mid-Level Shopfitter:

- Carry out shopfitting installations to a high standard, working from plans and specifications
- Work closely with the site team to ensure works are completed on time and to program
- Follow all site safety procedures and actively contribute to a safe working environment
- Coordinate with other trades on site to ensure smooth workflow and minimal delays
- Take ownership of assigned tasks, working independently while knowing when to upscale issues
- Maintain quality control on your own work, ensuring it meets the required standard before sign-off
- Communicate progress and any on-site issues clearly to the Site Supervisor/Manager
- Handle tools and equipment safely and maintain a clean, organised work area
- Assist in overseeing and managing all trades on site
- Oversee the implementation of site safety procedures and ensure all protocols are monitored and followed




- Monitor progress of shopfitting works against the construction program, ensuring trades are coordinating effectively with one another
- Oversee the quality of shopfitting works to ensure the required standard is achieved on every job
- Schedule and coordinate site staff to address priority issues as they ariseIssue site instructions and correspondence as required to trade contractors and consultants
- Report regularly to the Site Manager, flagging any current or potential issues

Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of experience in shopfitting/commercial carpentry
- Ability to read and interpret construction and shop drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship is a must
- Proven ability to run a site and manage trades on-site
- Reliable, punctual and a team player
- ABN, trade qualified, White Card, drivers licence, own tools and PPE, Australian working rights

Requirements

- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
- QBCC highly regarded but not essential
- High level ability to read and interpret construction and shop drawings
- Well-developed planning and coordination skills, including industry knowledge
- Strong leadership and management skills - leading by example
- Reliable, punctual and a team player
- ABN, White Card, drivers licence, own tools and PPE, Australian working rights
