JOB DESCRIPTION

The Albert Park Hotel is looking for passionate, energetic and motivated Chefs to join the team at Happy Valley.

We have full-time and casual opportunities available and are looking for chefs at different stages of their careers.

Experience in Asian/Cantonese cuisine is preferred, particularly wok skills, dim sum and Cantonese roasts. However, we are also excited to hear from young and emerging chefs with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a genuine passion for developing their career in hospitality.

This is an opportunity to work alongside an experienced team, build your skills and be part of an exciting period of growth for the venue and Morris Hospitality.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Working in the Happy Valley kitchen, you will be involved in delivering high-quality modern Chinese/Cantonese dishes in a busy and energetic environment.

You will have the prospect to:

- Develop and refine your Asian/Cantonese cooking skills.
- Learn wok cooking, dim sum and Cantonese roast techniques.
- Work with experienced chefs and learn from a supportive kitchen team.
- Maintain high and consistent standards of food quality and presentation.
- Work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
- Develop your confidence and skills across all areas of the kitchen.
- Take on greater responsibility as your skills and experience grow.

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for chefs who are:

- Passionate about food and keen to build their career.
- Positive, energetic and motivated.
- Willing to learn and take direction.
- Able to work well as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a high-volume environment.
- Able to maintain composure under pressure.
- Organised with strong time-management skills.
- Committed to maintaining high standards.
- Available to work nights and weekends.

Asian/Cantonese cuisine experience is preferred,



but not essential for the right candidate.

If you're an experienced chef with existing Asian cuisine skills, we want to hear from you.

Equally, if you're a young chef or apprentice looking for an opportunity to learn, develop your skills and build a long-term career, we're happy to invest in the right person.
