What You'll Do

As a Drone Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of designing, testing, and enhancing cutting-edge drone systems for various applications. Your role will involve:

- Designing and developing drone systems and components, from airframes to propulsion systems and payloads.

- Conducting tests and simulations to evaluate performance and identify improvement areas.

- Collaborating with a diverse team of drone pilots, engineers, and technicians to ensure seamless integration.

- Implementing strategies to optimize the performance, efficiency, and safety of our drone systems.

- Staying ahead of industry trends and exploring innovative solutions tailored to client needs.

- Monitoring equipment to ensure all business units are well-equipped to succeed.

Requirements

Who We're Looking For:
- A degree in aerospace, mechanical, or mechatronics engineering (or a related field).

- Strong understanding of aerospace engineering principles and proficiency in 3D design software. (SolidWorks, Autodesk Fusion 360)





- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- A collaborative spirit with strong communication and project management skills.

- Experience with drones in specific applications (e.g., agriculture, surveying) is a plus.

- Experience with data analysis and simulation tools

- Knowledge & understanding of regulations and guidelines. (CASA)

- Ability to work alone & in a team, prioritizing as appropriate.

Desirable Qualifications

- White card, mining inductions

- 4x4 training, First Aid certification

- Relevant endorsements and experience in drone operations (7-25kg, 25-100kg endorsement)

- VTOL, Swarming, Senior remote pilot training, BLOVS, IREX, 100+ hours logged

- additive design experience 3d printing

- Zoho experience
