I'm working with a well-established geotechnical and environmental consultancy that has built an excellent reputation delivering investigation, testing and design services across major infrastructure, transport, building and land development projects throughout NSW.
With a strong pipeline of work and continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Senior Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist to join their Sydney team.
The Role...
This is a senior position focused on project leadership , technical oversight and client management . You'll take ownership of multiple projects, guide technical delivery and mentor junior engineers while working alongside a highly experienced team.
Projects range from local developments through to large-scale transport and infrastructure schemes , providing plenty of variety and long-term career opportunities.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing geotechnical projects from proposal through to completion
- Reviewing and preparing interpretive geotechnical reports
- Managing project budgets, programmes and resources
- Developing fee proposals and supporting tender submissions
- Building and maintaining client relationships
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring junior staff
- Working closely with contractors, clients and project stakeholders
About You...
Degree qualified in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology
Approximately 8-12 years' geotechnical consulting experience
Experience delivering geotechnical investigations, design and construction projects
Strong report writing and project management skills
Commercial awareness and client-facing experience
Working knowledge of AS1726, AS2159, AS3798 and TfNSW R44
Chartered or working towards Chartership
