We are seeking an experienced Azure Engineer to join a high-performing cloud and infrastructure team supporting critical enterprise systems within a secure Azure landing zone environment.

This role will focus on the deployment, maintenance, optimisation, and support of enterprise Azure infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of key business platforms and services.

You will work collaboratively across technical teams to troubleshoot complex infrastructure challenges, contribute to technical standards and operational doctrine, and support ongoing cloud transformation initiatives across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain Azure infrastructure solutions within secure enterprise environments
- Support and enhance existing Azure-based platforms using Infrastructure as Code methodologies
- Contribute to technical architecture, documentation, operational standards, and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve complex infrastructure and platform issues
- Implement and support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment frameworks
- Participate in Azure infrastructure migrations and platform modernisation initiatives




- Provide operational support and contribute to on‑call infrastructure support arrangements
- Ensure solutions align with security, governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks
- Support increased operational requirements during peak business periods, including occasional after‑hours work

Essential Skills & Experience

We are seeking candidates with strong experience across Azure cloud engineering and enterprise infrastructure delivery, including:

- Enterprise Azure services implementation and management, including:
- Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
- Azure Functions & Web Apps
- Service Bus & Event Hub
- API Management (APIM)
- Robust experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline automation
- Hands‑on experience using ARM and/or Bicep templates for Infrastructure as Code
- Experience migrating and managing enterprise infrastructure workloads in Azure
- Strong understanding of infrastructure risk management principles and operational governance
- Ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships and work effectively across technical and business teams
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills
- Azure and cloud‑related certifications
- Experience with Git version control and branching strategies
- Knowledge of Australian cyber security frameworks and standards
- Familiarity with ITIL, TOGAF, and Commonwealth ICT frameworks
- Experience working within Federal Government or highly regulated environments
