Communications Officer – NSW Trustee and Guardian

Full-time Ongoing 35 hours per week.
Location: Sydney. Flexible and hybrid working options available.
Clerk Grade 7/8: $116,981 to $129,492 per annum, plus superannuation, plus leave loading

About us

At NSW Trustee and Guardian our purpose is to support the rights, welfare, and interests of the people of NSW. The agency supports the NSW Trustee, the Public Guardian and the Commissioner of Dormant Funds to carry out their statutory functions. We do this by providing a range of customer-centred services, including Will-making, trustee, financial management and guardianship services, including some for the state’s most vulnerable people.
We support over 50,000 customers annually and manage almost seven billion dollars in customer assets. A NSW government agency within the Communities and Justice Portfolio, our services help support and protect people at critical moments in their lives.

About the team

The Office of the CEO provides strategic, executive, and operational support to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to ensure NSWTG delivers on its priorities and maintains strong governance. OCEO also manages external engagement with government stakeholders and oversees organisational improvement initiatives.

About the role





As a Communications Officer, you'll work with colleagues across NSW Trustee and Guardian to create clear, engaging and customer-focused communications that support employees, customers and the wider community. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You’ll develop content for a range of channels, provide communication advice, support organisation-wide projects, build relationships with stakeholders and help improve how we share information and connect with people. Your work will play an important role in strengthening customer experience, building awareness of our services and supporting an organisation that helps some of the most vulnerable people in NSW.

About you

You are a strong communicator who enjoys turning complex information into clear, engaging content that connects with different audiences. You thrive in a collaborative workplace, build positive relationships with stakeholders and can manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. You'll bring experience creating content across a range of channels, strong writing and editing skills, and a customer-focused mindset. Most importantly, you're proactive,



adaptable and motivated by the opportunity to contribute to meaningful work that helps improve experiences for customers, employees and the community.

Essential requirements

Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience in a relevant discipline or industry within services sector, professional and or community focussed areas across a diverse range of customer groups.
