Based at RAAF Base Amberley, you'll work alongside the Royal Australian Air Force personnel, delivering technical training that directly supports the operational readiness of the C-27J Spartan fleet. Rather than working shift rosters or turning spanners every day, you'll use your real-world aviation experience to coach, mentor and develop future maintainers in both classroom and practical environments.

Work at RAAF Base Amberley
One of Australia's largest and most significant Defence aviation bases, with access to on-base facilities including:
- Gym and fitness facilities
- Swimming pool
- Sporting and recreation facilities
As an Aircraft Maintenance Instructor, you will:
- Deliver aircraft maintenance training in both classroom and practical environments
- Assess student competency and provide coaching and mentorship
- Prepare and deliver technical training and assessments
- Maintain and improve learning materials and courseware
- Support students throughout their training journey
- Maintain accurate training records and documentation
- Work closely with Defence personnel and key stakeholders
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the training environment
You'll bring:
- Certificate IV Aeroskills (Mechanical or Avionics)
- Strong aircraft maintenance knowledge and experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for sharing knowledge and developing others
- The ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance
Highly Regarded
- Defence aviation experience
- Training, coaching or mentoring experience
- Certificate IV Training & Assessment (TAE) or equivalent
