About this opportunity

As the Senior Supervisor, you will be required to support the accomplishment of construction and maintenance of the Region's Roads, Bridges and Infrastructure in accordance with specifications and within program time and budget. Contribute to the continual Improvement of the Scenic Rim Regional Council Road and Bridge network.
The position is based in Canungra, but you may be required to work from any of Council’s offices (Boonah, Beaudesert and Tamborine Mountain) or facilities within the Scenic Rim.

Additionally, you’ll also …

- Undertake the control of work gang/s to carry out a range of road maintenance projects requiring critical knowledge of work practices and procedures for action.




- Monitor expenditure to ensure compliance with budget, and advise Coordinator Engineers of significant variations.
- Triage customer requests and communicate with customers.
- Assist in on the job training for subordinate employees including the delivery of toolbox talks.
- Supervision of civil construction projects and maintenance programs.
- Review and evaluate procedures and techniques utilised by work gangs under control to determine and improve efficiency and effectiveness.

About you…

- Advanced Certificate in Civil Construction Supervision and/or significant experience in management of road and street construction projects.
- Road, Bridge and Drainage construction and maintenance practices.
- Ability to manage projects, interpret structure construction and maintenance specifications and plans.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with and build teamwork and to discuss techniques and procedures.
