About the Role:

We are seeking a driven and results-focused Business Development Managerto join our QLD team.

Rockcote, a family-owned Australian business with 47 years in the industry, specialises in render, texture coatings, and complete architectural coating systems that prepare, protect, and finish a wide range of building substrates.

We manufacture our own products, ensuring consistent quality, durability, and reliability across every project.

In this full-time role, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new project opportunities across Brisbane and surrounding areas, positioning Rockcote as a trusted partner for complete system-based solutions.

Based on the road, you will engage directly with builders, architects, developers, and applicators, owning projects from early engagement and specification through to delivery and completion.

Key Responsibilities:

New Business Development

Identify, pursue and secure new project opportunities across Brisbane and surrounding areas

Prospect and engage Tier 1–3 builders, developers, architects and consultants

Build a strong pipeline and consistently deliver recent revenue growth

Monitor market trends, competitor activity and project movements

System-Based Selling

Promote and sell complete coating systems, not standalone products

Provide specification support, compliance guidance and technical solutions





Position the business as a value-driven solutions partner

Project Ownership

Manage projects end-to-end from early engagement to completion

Coordinate across builders, architects, applicators and internal teams

Conduct site visits and support successful system application

Ensure smooth handover to Account Managers post-delivery

Relationship Development

Build strong networks across the construction and design community

Engage with architects, builders and key stakeholders at all levels

Represent Rockcote at industry events, trade shows and product presentations

About You:

Proven success in new business / hunter sales roles

Experience within construction, coatings or related industries is highly desirable

Strong commercial acumen and negotiation capability

Ability to sell solutions and systems, not compete on price

Highly motivated, resilient and target-driven

Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
