The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join CIMIC's corporate finance function, based in our North Sydney office.

Supporting month-end processes, reconciliations, reporting and financial control activities, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day delivery of accounting outcomes across a complex global organisation.

This role sits within a central corporate finance function, providing broad exposure to financial accounting, reporting, controls and governance across a complex global organisation.

Key Responsibilities

- Support timely and accurate execution of financial accounting activities, month-end close processes and reporting requirements
- Prepare and review month-end journal entries, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare monthly reporting submissions and reconciliations within OneStream
- Support statutory financial reporting, tax reporting and compliance requirements




- Maintain and strengthen financial controls and governance frameworks
- Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, including variance analysis and validation
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance reporting, controls and efficiency
- Coordinate and support internal and external audit requirements
- Support ad hoc projects and finance initiatives as required

About You

- Experience supporting finance and accounting functions within a corporate environment
- Confidence in SAP and other financial systems
- Exposure to reconciliations, accruals, month-end processes and general accounting activities
- Comfortable working with financial data, reporting processes and transactional accounting environments
- Proactive, adaptable and willing to learn
- Enjoy working in a structured, collaborative and controls-focused environment
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
- CA or CPA qualified, or currently studying towards completion
