Overview
Opportunity for a Senior Data Scientist to join our Client Product team in Sydney.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Model Development: Design, build, and deploy production ML models (audience, forecasting, optimization, uplift).
- Applied AI & LLM Initiatives: Leverage LLMs and embedding models for clustering, segment refinement, and search/chat frameworks.
- Production Engineering: Deploy low-latency models via APIs using Docker, GitHub CI/CD, and AWS/Vertex AI stacks.
- Strategy & Governance: Design cookieless targeting and clean room strategies while ensuring strict AI privacy governance.
- Data Science Translation: Translate complex algorithmic and statistical concepts into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strategic Partnerships: Align data science, product, and sales teams to match model delivery with platform roadmaps.
- Audience Alignment: Collaborate to establish a unified cross-platform taxonomy and consolidate segments into an identity graph.
- Yield Optimization: Identify monetization opportunities and optimize ad products to boost platform yield and CPMs.
- ROI & Measurement: Link model performance to commercial outcomes via post-campaign analyses to drive client retention.
Who are you?
- PhD or Master’s in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Data/Computational Science).
- Deep expertise in deploying advanced algorithms, deep learning, neural embeddings, and classification systems.
- Proven experience implementing LLMs for automated categorization and semantic search discoverability.
- Strong programming background with primary expertise in the Python ecosystem.
- Hands‑on experience architecting scalable model orchestration on Google Vertex AI and AWS, using Docker and GitHub CI/CD.
- Collaborative approach to building robust feature stores and exploratory data analysis (EDA) for live production.
- Track record of translating complex data problems into operational ML tools that deliver measurable business value.
- Solid understanding of digital media revenue metrics (CPM growth) and cookieless audience targeting frameworks.
- Exceptional ability to simplify sophisticated statistical concepts for executive and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, collaborate cross‑functionally, and innovate within a fast‑paced digital media landscape.
