Overview

Our client is a global leader in the building and industrial services sector, working with commercial, residential, and infrastructure customers across Australia and New Zealand, with a reputation for blending technology, sustainability, and customer service to deliver high-performance solutions. They are looking for a Procurement Category Manager to join their established procurement team in Sydney.

Responsibilities

- Lead the development and execution of procurement strategies across key direct spend categories, driving value through market insights, supplier optimisation, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Manage end-to-end sourcing projects, implement supplier agreements, and own supplier performance to ensure delivery against commercial objectives.
- Act as a key link between local and global procurement, align strategies, embed best practices, and improve category policies and processes.
- Report on savings, project milestones, and supplier performance across the portfolio, with a strong focus on delivering commercial outcomes.

What we are looking for

- Procurement Category Manager with direct or indirect experience who puts the customer at the centre of everything they do.




- Thrives in a fast-changing setting with an impressive track record of developing category strategies to deliver value on business and customer outcomes.
- Confident communicator who can influence at senior leadership level and collaborate with diverse teams; able to challenge the norm when needed.
- Fresh thinking and a problem-solving approach that cuts through complexity to deliver practical outcomes.
- Passionate about driving impact through collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
