Description
Purpose and Main Responsibilities The purpose of the role is to support the Senior Planner with site assessments, due diligence and planning approval activities across GreenPoint Energy’s portfolio of early-stage renewable energy (wind, solar and battery) across Australia. The role requires a person with a passion for working with local communities and Government to build Australia’s renewable energy future.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- 0–3 years of experience in town planning, development approvals, or environmental planning, preferably within the renewable energy, , or infrastructure sectors (graduates welcome to apply)
- Tertiary qualification in Urban/Town Planning, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
- Developing knowledge of State and Local planning policies,
legislation, codes and guidelines and environmental approval processes across Australian jurisdictions, with a willingness to build expertise on the job
- Some exposure to liaising with Local and State Government bodies and other authorities/agencies, or a strong interest in developing this experience
- Enthusiasm for building relationships with diverse stakeholders, including members of the public and local communities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail
Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and contribute in a quick-paced environment
