About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Dietitian to join the Nutrition & Dietetics Department at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne in a part-time Weekend Dietitian position. Working every second weekend, you will provide Dietetics services across critical care and acute care wards, working independently to ensure patients with priority nutrition needs receive timely, high-quality care. The weekend roster consists of an 8-hour Saturday shift and an on-call requirement on Sunday. This role would suit an experienced clinical Dietitian who is confident working autonomously, has strong clinical decision-making skills and enjoys working across a varied acute caseload. Previous experience working within intensive care and surgical settings will be highly regarded.
Salary: Dietitian Grade 2 AJ1 - AJ4 ($94,478.80 - $106,906.80 per annum, pro rata for part time).
Your Contribution
- Qualifications providing eligibility for full membership of Dietitians Australia and the Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) program
- A minimum of four years’ postgraduate experience in a relevant area of clinical dietetics
- Strong clinical assessment, decision-making and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work confidently and independently within an acute hospital environment
- Highly developed organisational, time management and planning skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to providing evidence-based, person-centred care
- A commitment to the values and healthcare philosophy of St Vincent’s Health Australia
- A current National Criminal History Check, or willingness to obtain one

The Nutrition & Dietetics Department at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne is a highly regarded, progressive and team-oriented team providing evidence-based nutrition care across a diverse range of clinical specialties.
