We are seeking a highly capable Electrician or Industrial Electrician with robust mechanical aptitude to join our maintenance team on Afternoon Shift. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced industrial environments and enjoys troubleshooting and improving high-speed automated equipment. This role would suit someone with: An experienced Industrial Electrician with PLC and automation skills who is mechanically capable A qualified Electrician with industrial and automation experience Background working in FMCG environments, ideally with high-speed packaging or processing equipment
Electrical & Automation
- Unrestricted Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence)
- Strong electrical fault-finding capability, including contactors, relays, sensors, and field devices
- Experience programming and configuring: VFDs / drives Scanners Electronic control modules
- Proven ability to troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems
- Solid understanding of industrial controls (PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, instrumentation)
Mechanical & Maintenance
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair both electrical and mechanical faults
- Perform preventative maintenance and equipment audits
- Hands-on mechanical skills, including:
- Lubrication programs
- Belt tracking
- Replacing bearings, chains, belts, motors, and gearboxes
- Experience maintaining mechanical and pneumatic systems
Continuous Improvement & Reliability
- Proactively work to reduce downtime, waste, and improve equipment reliability
- Identify improvement opportunities through:
- Fault investigation
- Root cause analysis
- Support and participate in maintenance and improvement projects
- Demonstrated problem-solving experience within an industrial maintenance environment

- Proactive approach to maintenance challenges
- Continuous Improvement mindset
- Highly Regarded (but not essential)
- Experience using computerised maintenance management systems
- Sound Microsoft Office skills
