The Role:
This organisation is looking for an ambitious Accountant to join their finance team. Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for end of month activities as well as preparing accurate management reports.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Deliver insightful variance analysis and commentary for senior leadership.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
- Partner with operational stakeholders to improve commercial performance.
- Develop financial models and business cases to support strategic initiatives.
- Monitor key performance indicators and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with month-end and year-end reporting requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement across finance systems, reporting and internal processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Your Profile:
- Experience as a Management Accountant or valuable exposure to the budgeting process and some financial and analysis exposure
- CA/CPA qualified or working towards a CA/CPA
- Enjoys a fast-paced, complex, data heavy environment. Given the volume and complexity of data, you should be comfortable working with large data sets
- Ability to take initiative and problem solve
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
