full time role earning$100,894 - $114,476 per year, plus super.

What you will do

As Evaluation Officer, you will support evaluation projects across the department's diverse service areas.

You will work in the Centre for Evaluation, helping teams understand what works and why.

You will:

- support end-to-end evaluations of policies and programs across justice and community safety.
- develop clear evaluation frameworks, data tools, ethics applications and program logic.
- analyse quantitative and qualitative data to develop useful evaluation findings.
- prepare high-quality reports and written outputs that clearly present findings.
- coordinate research activities and work with project teams to deliver evaluation work on time.

About you

You must hold a current Working with Children Check (Employee). Qualifications in evaluation, social science research or criminology are desirable.

You will bring research and evaluation experience, strong data skills and clear communication.

You should also have:

- research and evaluation experience using both quantitative and qualitative methods.
- strong analytical skills, including statistical analysis, Excel and data visualisation.
- evaluation expertise across data tools, program logic,



ethics applications and research reports.
- clear communication and teamwork, with a flexible and inclusive approach to your work.
