Motor / Diesel Mechanic(Service Technician) – QLD

MMT Recruitment is partnering with a large, well-established Australian agribusiness to recruit an experienced Service Technician (Motor / Diesel Mechanic) to support operations across multiple rural sites in southern Queensland.

This is a hands-on, varied mechanical role working across farms, feed mills and renewable energy (biogas) facilities. It’s ideal for a mechanically minded technician who enjoys problem-solving, autonomy, and working with diverse agricultural and industrial equipment.

The Role

- Maintain and repair machinery across farm, feed mill and biogas operations

- Diagnose and repair diesel, petrol and biogas engines and associated systems

- Perform preventative maintenance, lubrication and mechanical adjustments

- Carry out welding, fabrication and repair of piping and mechanical equipment





- Assist with fleet servicing, workshop duties and safety documentation

- Ensure all work is completed in line with WHS and compliance standards

About You

- Qualified Motor Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic or equivalent trade background

(formal trade qualification not essential if you have recent, relevant experience)

- Minimum 2 years’ experience with agricultural, industrial or heavy equipment

- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capability

- Safety-focused with strong attention to quality and compliance

- Comfortable working independently across multiple sites

- Good communication skills and accurate record-keeping

- Full Australian working rights
