Durock Drilling is chasing experienced Multipurpose Drillers to join our team.

If you have experience with Diamond Drilling and/or Reverse Circulation, take ownership of the rig, crew and performance, we want to hear from you!

This is a FIFO role working across remote exploration and mine-site locations throughout Australia.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and maintain drill rigs in line with company and site procedures
- Mobilise and Demobilise drilling equipment
- Deliver safe, efficient, and productive drilling
- Accurately complete daily drilling reports, logs, and safety documentation
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance to minimise downtime
- Lead, support, and coordinate Driller’s Assistants and Trainee Drillers
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues in the field and resolve them efficiently
- Monitor consumables and manage stock levels on site
- Comply with all site safety, environmental, and operational requirements
- Assist with training and mentoring of less experienced crew members

- Demonstrated experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting skills




- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and remote environments
- Capability to lead a small crew under pressure
- Explicit and effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong understanding of drilling operations, safety standards, and field logistics
- Commitment to maintaining accurate drilling records and reports
- A strong safety-first attitude

Mandatory Requirements

- Certificate III in Drilling Operations
- Current HR (Heavy Rigid) Licence
- National Police Check (issued within the last 3 months)
- Applicants MUST be physically fit and will be are required to pass a pre-employment medical and regular drug and alcohol screening.
