The Director, Investment Banking is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Sydney Area. This position is responsible for originating, structuring, and executing investment banking transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic advisory mandates. The Director leads deal teams, prepares and reviews financial models and valuation analyses, oversees due diligence processes, and develops investment theses for new opportunities. The role involves building and maintaining client, investor, and stakeholder relationships, drafting presentation materials and investment memoranda, and collaborating closely with internal and external advisers. The director also contributes to portfolio strategy, market analysis, and risk assessment to support Boston Global Group's regional and international investments.

Key responsibilities

Originate, structure, and execute investment banking transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic advisory mandates

Lead deal teams and manage multidisciplinary teams

Prepare and review financial models and valuation analyses

Oversee due diligence processes across financial, commercial, and operational dimensions

Develop investment theses for new opportunities

Build and maintain client, investor, and stakeholder relationships

Draft presentation materials and investment memoranda

Collaborate closely with internal and external advisors

Contribute to portfolio strategy, market analysis, and risk assessment

About you

An entrepreneurial mindset with conviction in viewpoints and an ability to autonomously drive a process from ideation to completion

Solid foundation in Finance and Investments, with proven experience in investment banking or related fields





Advanced skills in Financial Modeling and valuation, including scenario analysis and quantitative assessment of transactions

Deep expertise in Investment Banking advisory, including transaction structuring, negotiation, and strategic client support

Demonstrated capability in conducting comprehensive Due Diligence across financial, commercial, and operational dimensions

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications (e.g. CFA, CA) are advantageous

Track record of leading complex deals and delivering results under tight timelines

Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail

Explicit and effective communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to senior stakeholders

High level of integrity, sound judgment, and commitment to responsible investment practices

Experience working across multiple markets or regions and comfort operating in a rapid-paced, evolving environment
