About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Drilling Supervisor / Onsite Company Representative (OCR) to supervise wellsite drilling activities on behalf of the Operator during a short-term onshore drilling project in Queensland.
As the company’s primary representative at the rig site, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of all drilling operations, ensuring contractor and service company personnel are working to the highest standards of safety, compliance, and technical performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent the Operator at the wellsite and maintain close coordination with the drilling contractor and service providers
- Ensure all operations are executed in accordance with the approved drilling program, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring all personnel comply with site-specific safety protocols and standards
- Monitor and manage daily operations including drilling, casing, cementing, well control, and rig maintenance activities
- Identify potential operational issues or risks and proactively engage with the office-based team to resolve
- Participate in daily reporting, morning calls, and maintain accurate records of site activities and contractor performance
- Provide real-time supervision and decision-making support to ensure technical best practices are applied
- Oversee and verify third-party service quality and compliance (mud, cementing, logging, directional, etc.)
- Lead or participate in safety meetings, drills, and incident investigations when required
Requirements
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 10+ years of onshore drilling experience with a minimum of 3+ years as Drilling Supervisor / Company Man/OCR
- Robust track record in supervising rig operations and managing service company interfaces
- Demonstrated commitment to HSE leadership and site-level safety culture
- Familiarity with Australian onshore drilling regulations and remote field operations
- IWCF or IADC Well Control Certification (Supervisor Level) – mandatory
