We have an exciting opportunity for a Machine Operator - Afternoon Shift to join our Arnott's Virginia team!

This role is perfect for someone experienced in operating machinery within a fast-paced setting and who prides themselves on remaining calm, focused, and solutions-driven.

You will be responsible for operating packing machinery on the line and feeding product on the band, ensuring consistent performance and quality across our production processes. If you are a strong communicator with a mechanical mindset and you enjoy being part of a supportive, hands-on team - this could be the role for you.

What your day looks like:

- Set up, changeovers, operating and troubleshooting of equipment within Arnott's OH&S;, Quality and Performance Standards
- Maintain smooth operation of packing machines and feeding stations
- Complete quality control checks throughout the shift
- Uphold GMP, HACCP and hygiene standards, ensuring all process areas remain clean and compliant
- Work both autonomously and collaboratively to meet daily production requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities within the team
- Coach and develop team

Just like you can't make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role:

- Previous machine operating experience in an FMCG environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting machinery
- Understanding of team, safety, and quality operating principles
- Knowledge of 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles (advantageous)
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong performance and attendance record
- High attention to detail
- Strong leadership and collaboration ability

Additional Requirements:

- Candidates will be required to complete a full medical, including drug and alcohol screening, as part of the recruitment process
- Uniforms will be provided
