The Senior Project Officer Land Acquisitions is responsible for the planning, management and delivery of land acquisition and property services for the Melbourne Strategic Assessment (MSA) Program. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, work independently, make a positive contribution to the MSA program team, and possesses highly developed negotiation skills. The position will provide advice to and build relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders including other government agencies and authorities, property professionals and private landowners. The important work of this role will be delivered in a manner that demonstrates DELWP’s values and behaviours of teamwork, service excellence, ownership and wellbeing and safety.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

Highly Desirable:

- Knowledge of the relevant policy, procedures and legislation associated with property acquisitions and public land, in particular the Land Acquisition and Compensation Act 1986, the Planning and Workplace Act 1987 and the Crown Land (Reserves) Act 1978.
- Demonstrated experience in the implementation of land acquisitions, Crown property dealings and projects.

This is an ongoing position.



The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.

Preferred candidates will be required to undertake pre-employment screening, including a Declaration and Consent form and a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.
