We are seeking an experienced and safety‑driven Site Electrician to join our team supporting mining and industrial operations across Queensland. This is a hands‑on role focused on installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and field service work on underground and surface electrical systems.

This role is based in Mackay QLD however project sites are wide-ranging and if successful you will ideally be living within the area of Mackay QLD and able to work away from home.

As a Site Electrician, you will carry out installation, service, and repair work on a variety of electrical equipment and control systems. You’ll regularly travel to customer sites, respond to call‑outs, and work directly with clients to deliver high‑quality technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Install electrical equipment, wiring, and control panels using electrical and mechanical drawings
- Test and commission electrical equipment, wiring, and panels from schematic diagrams
- Maintain, repair, and modify electrical equipment and control systems
- Travel to customer sites to complete scheduled work, breakdown support, and urgent call‑outs
- Service and repair underground mining electrical equipment
- Provide technical service, maintenance support, and training at customer locations
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment




- Troubleshoot electrical issues and deliver practical solutions for clients
- Manage all on‑site installation, repair, maintenance, and testing tasks
- Prepare high‑quality service reports and documentation in a timely manner
- Liaise with workshop and engineering teams to share technical information and improve processes
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing recommendations
- Mentor and support coworkers, including apprentices, as required

About You

- QLD Electrical Licence (essential)
- CPR/LVR, White Card, and valid driver’s licence
- Strong hands‑on technical experience in industrial or mining electrical environments
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Strong customer communication and service focus
- Ability to travel for site work, call‑outs, and field service tasks
- A commitment to safety, teamwork, and high‑quality workmanship

Desirable

- Experience with underground mining electrical equipment
- High Voltage switching qualification
- Exposure to commissioning, installations, or shutdowns
