Magpies Waitara is seeking experienced and motivated Duty Managers to join our leadership team.

These are hands-on leadership positions, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Club’s day-to-day operations—including food and beverage, gaming, member services, events, and compliance.

As Duty Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth operations, supporting staff, maintaining compliance, and delivering exceptional experiences for our members and guests.

About the Roles

As a Duty Manager at Magpies Waitara, you will:

- Lead and coordinate daily Club operations across all service areas, including food and beverage, gaming, reception, bars, and events.
- Drive a culture of excellence in service, presentation, and member experience.
- Mentor and coach staff, building capability, engagement, and teamwork.
- Ensure compliance with RSA, RCG, WHS, and all relevant legislation and Club policies.
- Respond to incidents, member feedback, and operational issues in a professional and proactive manner.
- Support senior management in delivering strategic, operational, and community-focused goals.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, motivate, and mentor frontline staff during operational shifts.
- Oversee all aspects of daily Club operations,



ensuring smooth and efficient service across food and beverage, gaming, reception, events, and member services.
- Monitor service delivery and venue presentation to consistently exceed member and guest expectations.
- Manage compliance requirements including RSA, RCG, WHS, AML/CTF and security.
- Act as the senior operational contact during shifts, providing guidance and support to staff while addressing operational issues.
- Handle conflict resolution with staff and customers, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Contribute to reporting, communication, and handover processes for senior management.

About You

- Have hospitality or licensed club leadership experience (essential).
- Be a confident leader who inspires, motivates, and engages teams.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Be organised, resilient, and capable of managing competing priorities.
- Hold current RSA & ARCG certifications (essential).
- Bring experience across areas such as food and beverage, gaming operations, compliance management, and customer service.
