Join a growing construction business where you'll take ownership of the finance function and work closely with the Director in a hands-on, wide-ranging role.

The Opportunity Our client is a growing construction business with an expanding project pipeline across residential, commercial and apartment projects.

They are looking for a Senior Bookkeeper / Finance All-Rounder who can take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while also becoming a key part of the wider business.

This is a role for someone who enjoys being hands-on, practical and involved in the business, rather than someone who wants to sit within a highly specialised finance function.

The Role You will be responsible for:

- Managing the end-to-end bookkeeping and finance function
- Payroll and wages
- GST, BAS and reconciliations
- P&L; reporting and financial reporting
- Cash flow management and forecasting
- Managing progress claims and liaising with Project Managers
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Working across Xero and other business systems
- Supporting project and financial administration
- Assisting with general business tasks as required
- Working closely with the Director and wider project team





About You We're looking for someone who is:

- An experienced Bookkeeper / Senior Bookkeeper
- Ideally has experience within construction
- Strong across end-to-end bookkeeping and finance
- Confident with Xero
- Commercially minded with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership
- A genuine all-rounder who is happy to get involved wherever needed
- Friendly, approachable and easy to work with
- Someone who wants to build a long-term career with a growing business

You don't need to be someone who only wants to focus on specialised finance tasks. The successful candidate will be someone who is happy to roll up their sleeves, get things done and play an important role in the growth of the business.
