Working as part of a large scale payroll transformation, you will be part of a collaborative team focused on driving process improvement across payroll operations. The role requires engaging with key stakeholders across payroll, HR and finance to deliver meaningful and measurable change in a fast paced and complex program of work.
Duties/Key responsibilities
- Map, analyse and redesign end-to-end payroll processes using BPMN and APQC
- Create clear documentation including payroll workflows, SOPs and process controls
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify inefficiencies, compliance gaps and performance issues within payroll operations
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops with payroll, HR and finance stakeholders, and present insights to senior leadership
- Support change initiatives and drive adoption of new payroll processes across teams

Skills and experience
- 3-5+ years in process analysis or operational excellence roles, with hands-on exposure to payroll functions
- Solid understanding of payroll processes, controls and compliance requirements (STP, superannuation, award interpretation)
- Experience working in large or complex organisations, ideally through a payroll or HR systems transformation
- Proficiency with process modelling tools (Visio, Signavio, ARIS, or similar)
- Familiarity with payroll or HRIS platforms (Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP, Chris21/iChris, or similar) highly regarded
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
