Role Overview:

As a Registered Occupational Therapist, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based therapy to clients of all ages with a variety of conditions, such as neurological, orthopedic, and developmental disabilities. You will assess and develop individualized treatment plans aimed at promoting independent living, improving functional abilities, and enhancing overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough client assessments to determine their needs and therapy goals.

- Develop and implement personalized therapy programs to enhance daily living skills and independence.

- Provide direct therapy services to clients in various settings, including home visits, rehabilitation centers, or clinics.

- Monitor progress, modify therapy plans as needed, and provide regular updates to clients and their families.

- Educate clients and caregivers on techniques to improve functional outcomes and prevent further injury.

- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physiotherapists, speech therapists, and medical staff, to ensure holistic care.

- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, assessments,



and client progress in line with regulatory and organizational standards.

- Stay updated on best practices, new treatment modalities, and research in the field of occupational therapy.

Requirements

- Qualification: A recognized Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.

- Registration: Full registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (OTBA).

- Experience: [X] years of experience in clinical practice, preferably in [specific areas, such as pediatrics, geriatrics, rehabilitation].

- Skills:

- Solid clinical reasoning and assessment skills.

- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

- Proficiency in using assistive technology and rehabilitation equipment.

- Compassionate and client-focused approach.

- Certifications (if applicable):

- Current First Aid and CPR certification.

- Working with Children Check (if applicable).

- National Police Check.
