About our Team
Maritime Sustainment Division (MSD) operates within the Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group, delivering in service sustainment of naval capability in support of Navy’s operational readiness. Our team works across procurement, logistics, engineering and operational stakeholders to deliver integrated supply chain outcomes, improve efficiency through scale, and drive cost savings through aggregated purchasing and reduced duplication, while providing assured inventory support that directly underpins Navy capability and readiness in a dynamic and evolving operational environment.
Our Ideal Candidate
The APS 6 Repairable Items Officer is a capable materiel logistics professional who performs effectively in a complex sustainment workplace and demonstrates a strong commitment to Defence’s values of service, courage, respect, integrity and excellence. You are confident leading a small team and coordinating activities with industry partners, including assessing value for money outcomes and making informed decisions on repair versus replacement. You apply sound knowledge of logistics, product management and relevant procurement and contracting frameworks to deliver practical outcomes.
You build productive relationships with stakeholders, communicate clearly and respond to competing priorities with sound judgement, initiative and attention to detail, contributing to reliable sustainment outcomes and continuous improvement.
