BOSS Engineering is a growing Australian manufacturing business with a national footprint. As our business continues to expand, we’re looking for a WHS Advisor who wants to have a genuine influence on how safety is managed across the organisation.

This is a hands‑on chance for someone who enjoys being on the workshop floor, working alongside people and leaders, identifying risks and turning good safety practices into everyday behaviours.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Manufacturing & Operations Manager, you’ll play an key role in strengthening and continuously improving WHS across BOSS Engineering.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

- Influence and improve safety culture across a growing national business
- Work directly with operational leaders and employees across our sites
- Identify risks and drive practical solutions rather than simply ticking compliance boxes
- Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are followed through
- Conduct inspections, audits, risk assessments and safety observations
- Develop and improve SOPs, SWMS and other safety systems
- Deliver inductions, toolbox talks and safety training
- Support managers to identify and control workplace hazards
- Coordinate injury management and Return to Work programs
- Work closely with HR, insurers, medical practitioners and rehabilitation providers
- Monitor WHS performance and use data to identify opportunities for improvement

As BOSS Engineering continues to grow, you’ll have the scope to help shape how safety is done across the business, influence leaders, engage our workforce and implement initiatives that create measurable improvements.





There is regular travel to other BOSS sites, providing genuine exposure to a multi‑site, national manufacturing operation.

ABOUT YOU

You’ll be a practical and confident WHS professional who can build relationships with everyone from the workshop floor through to senior leadership.

You will ideally have:

- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or equivalent
- Experience in WHS within manufacturing, engineering or another industrial environment
- Experience managing workers compensation, injury management and Return to Work
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and workers compensation requirements
- Excellent communication, coaching and problem‑solving skills
- The confidence to challenge unsafe practices and influence positive change
- A practical, hands‑on approach and strong attention to detail
- Initiative, accountability and the ability to work autonomously
- A genuine commitment to continuous improvement
- Current unrestricted driver's licence

Experience across multiple sites, RTW Coordinator accreditation, HSR training, incident investigation training or First Aid qualifications will be highly regarded.
