SDN Kensington is seeking a Senior Educator, responsible for 3 -4 years old room. The role requires passion for high-quality early childhood education and care to children and to plan and support the implementation of an approved learning framework.

About The Role

This will include: Build strong, respectful partnerships with children, families, and stakeholders, promoting engagement and participation

Drive observation, documentation, and reflective practices to enhance children’s learning outcomes

Create safe, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate environments that support all areas of child development

Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and child safety standards, maintaining a solid child-safe culture

Support daily operations, routines, and wellbeing practices, including guiding children’s care and development needs

Model professionalism, positive behaviours, and strong working relationships across the service

Mentor and support educators while fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment

Lead the delivery, planning, and evaluation of high-quality early learning programs aligned with the EYLF and National Quality Standards About You Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care

Demonstrated knowledge and experience of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards

Working with Children Check (NSW)

Sound understanding of the development of children, their health, hygiene and nutritional needs

Current Senior First Aid Certificate

Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates (preferable)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Experience in a similar role

Understanding of Child Protection legislation and holds an approved and current Child Protection Training qualification What is on offer: Above award pay and conditions (plus WRP)
