POSITION SUMMARY

The Contract Administrator is responsible for planning, developing, reviewing, negotiating, and administering contracts to ensure contractual obligations are effectively managed and business objectives are achieved in accordance with organisational requirements. The role supports the efficient operation of the business by applying specialised contract administration knowledge, commercial expertise, and industry experience while ensuring compliance with company procedures, legislative requirements, and industry standards.

Task & responsibilities

Developing, reviewing, negotiating, and administering commercial contracts to ensure they accurately reflect the company's operational and business requirements.

Monitoring contract performance to ensure all parties fulfil their contractual obligations, comply with agreed terms and conditions, and meet required service standards.

Providing advice to management on contractual rights, obligations, potential risks, and compliance requirements associated with existing and proposed agreements.

Assessing requests for contract amendments, variations, extensions, and renewals, and preparing the necessary contractual documentation. Liaising with contractors, suppliers, service providers, legal representatives, and internal stakeholders to facilitate contract implementation and resolve contractual issues.

Interpreting contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, company policies, and contractual obligations.

Maintaining comprehensive contract records, correspondence, variations, and supporting documentation to ensure accurate contract administration and audit readiness. Monitoring contract milestones, key deliverables, expiry dates, and performance indicators to support effective contract management.

Assisting in the preparation and evaluation of tender documentation, contractual schedules, and commercial agreements in accordance with organisational requirements.

Preparing reports and recommendations relating to contract performance, compliance,



commercial risks, and contractual outcomes to support management decision-making.

Qualification & experience

Qualification & experience Diploma or higher qualification in Business, Commerce, Management, Law, Contract Management, or a related field.

- Minimum 1 year of experience in contract administration, commercial administration, procurement support, or a related administrative role preferred.
- Knowledge of contract administration processes, commercial documentation, compliance requirements, and record management practices.
- Ability to review and interpret contractual terms, commercial agreements, and supporting documentation with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Understanding of relevant legislative requirements, company policies, and commercial contract administration practices.
