Join Quest Payment Systems, an cutting-edge force shaping the future of payment technology. For more than 30 years, we've led the industry with groundbreaking hardware, software, and solutions. Chances are, you've already interacted with our cutting-edge technology at one of our merchants' stores.
We're growing - and it's an exciting time to be part of our journey. We're bringing on board some of Australia's biggest and most recognisable retailers, and we're hiring multiple Product Implementation Engineers who are ready to contribute to that growth, bring fresh energy, and help shape what's next.
The Location:
This is a full-time, on-site role in Hawthorn, near Glenferrie and Hawthorn stations and surrounded by vibrant shops, restaurants and cafes.
On-site is a requirement of the setup. Our head office holds key production infrastructure that you'll be working with directly and that can't be accessed remotely.
The Role:
As part of the Product Implementation team, you'll be the vital link between Quest's exceptional products and our valued clients. This customer-centric role requires a strong communicator who can confidently engage with both technical and business stakeholders. You’ll have the ability to build rapport quickly, drive outcomes, and ensure our solutions are seamlessly integrated with client systems. Your relationship-building skills and focus on delivering exceptional service will ensure a smooth and positive experience every step of the way. Here's what you'll be doing:
- Building strong client relationships: You'll be the face of Quest, conducting face-to-face meetings with clients to understand their needs and guide them through the implementation process, keeping them informed on progress and incidents throughout.
- Assessing POS vendor development and integrating with Quest middleware: You'll work closely with POS vendors on SDK integration and accreditation testing, running structured kick-off meetings, test plans and reviewing evidence to ensure a seamless integration and a smooth customer journey.
- Providing exceptional technical support: You'll act as a trusted advisor, delivering Level 2 and 3 support to resolve client challenges, and escalating effectively when you need to.
- Troubleshooting and offering tailored solutions: You'll proactively identify and resolve issues across terminals, middleware, POS applications and network layers, working from logs, message traces and terminal diagnostics to get to a root cause.
- Spearheading projects and collaborating with stakeholders: You'll lead projects involving third parties, internal teams and product development initiatives, prioritising well and ensuring effective communication and successful outcomes.
- Becoming a product expert: You'll master our products and services, confidently managing implementations, upgrades and enhancements.
- Maintaining software and documentation: You'll pilot, review and distribute software updates, while meticulously documenting processes, product information and training materials.
We're looking for someone with:
- A passion for customer engagement: You genuinely enjoy interacting with clients and building strong relationships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: You can clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, and you're comfortable conducting face-to-face meetings.
- Experience in supporting POS applications: You have a solid understanding of POS systems and how they interface with payment solutions.
- Strong project and product management skills: You can effectively manage projects, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional technical problem-solving skills: You're a natural troubleshooter, comfortable reading logs and message-level data to find what's actually going wrong.
- A team-oriented mindset: You thrive in a collaborative environment, working across our team, the vendor's and the merchant's to reach a shared outcome.
Bonus points for experience in:
- Payments/Fintech: EFTPOS terminals, acquirers, EMV, or payment message protocols
- Time on the POS vendor side of a payments integration
- Service desk ticketing systems
- Diagnosing and resolving software, hardware and network issues
- Knowledge or experience in programming or scripting
The details:
This is an in-office role, and the collaboration is a big part of why. You'll report to the Product Implementation Manager and work alongside the Product Implementation Team, pulling in other departments across Quest to bring solutions through to production.
Join us at Quest Payment Systems and be part of a dynamic, fast-growing team that's shaping the future of payment technology. There's never been a more exciting time to join.
