- Supervise and support the day-to-day delivery of high-quality clinical care under the guidance of the Clinical Manager
- Provide clinical leadership and mentoring to Enrolled Nurses and Personal Care Assistants
- Oversee resident assessments, care planning, and documentation in accordance with Aged Care Quality Standards
- Manage and review complex wound care and coordinate allied health referrals
- Support the Clinical Manager in audits, quality improvement programs, and compliance activities
- Promote excellence in infection control and clinical governance
- Assist with staff education, onboarding, and performance support
- Ensure compliance with the Aged Care Code of Conduct, Aged Care Quality Standards, and Charter of Rights
- Participate in continuous improvement and clinical meetings to enhance resident outcomes
- Work closely with the Clinical Manager to ensure the highest standards of clinical care are delivered
Requirements
- Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a senior nursing role within Residential Aged Care
- Solid understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards
- Gerontology Certificate / Diploma or willingness to undertake same
- Excellent clinical assessment, leadership, and mentoring skills
- Demonstrated ability to identify and respond to deteriorating residents
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents, families, and health professionals
- Commitment to continuous learning and improvement
- Current National Police Check
- Valid C-Class Driver’s Licence
- Robust organisational skills and attention to detail
- Positive attitude, initiative, and ability to work independently
- Working knowledge of Autumn Care
- All applicants must provide a valid national police check and undergo a pre-employment medical assessment
- Must comply with the smoke-free workplace policy
