Purpose and Main Responsibilities The purpose of the role is to support with site assessments, due diligence and planning approval activities across GreenPoint Energy’s portfolio of early-stage renewable energy (wind, solar and battery) projects across Australia. The role requires a person with passion for working with local communities and Government to build Australia’s renewable energy future.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- 3–7 years of experience in town planning, development approvals, or environmental planning, preferably within the renewable energy, , or infrastructure sectors
- Tertiary qualification in Urban/Town Planning, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
- Strong working knowledge of State and Local planning policies, legislation, codes and guidelines and the environmental approval processes across Australian jurisdictions
- Experience liaising and negotiating with Local and State Government bodies and other authorities/agencies
- Proven ability to engage and build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including members of the public and local communities
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills
Ability to work autonomously and drive initiatives in a quick-paced environment
