Commission-Based Position | Flexible Hours | Wills, Estates & Succession Law | Sunshine Coast
North Coast Law is a boutique Sunshine Coast law firm with offices in Palmwoods, Beerwah and Pomona. We practise across succession law, property and commercial law, and family law.
We are seeking an experienced solicitor with a current unrestricted Queensland practising certificate and experience in wills, estates and succession planning to join our team on a commission-based basis.
This opportunity would suit a solicitor who values flexibility, autonomy and work-life balance, and who would like to further develop their succession law practice without the commitments of a traditional full time salaried position.
The Opportunity
The successful applicant will primarily work in wills, estate planning and deceased estate matters, with the chance to service existing firm referrals while also developing the firm’s client base.
The role is particularly suited to an experienced practitioner (minimum 2 years’ post-admission experience, including at least 12 months’ experience in wills, estates and succession planning) who can confidently manage files with a high degree of independence and provide a professional, empathetic and commercially minded service to clients.
Work arrangements and hours can be negotiated to suit the successful applicant. There is scope for the role to be undertaken on a part time or flexible basis, depending on the applicant's circumstances and the needs of the practice,
and provided you have some availability to attend our Palmwoods and Beerwah offices to meet with clients for face-to-face appointments as required.

- Advising in relation to estate and succession disputes
- Managing client relationships and files from initial consultation through to completion
- Working collaboratively with the firm's existing team and referring matters to other areas of the practice where appropriate
- Maintaining accurate, compliant and paperless files and managing your own administrative requirements with appropriate support from the firm
About You
- Holds a current unrestricted Queensland practising certificate

- Is organised, efficient and comfortable working autonomously
- Is confident using technology and working in a paperless office environment
- Takes pride in providing high-quality legal work and excellent client service
- Is willing to work collaboratively with our close-knit team
Some experience in property and/or commercial law would also be highly regarded but is not essential.
Please note: this is a succession law role and does not involve family law work.
