We’re looking for a senior market-facing Business Development Underwriter (SME Packages)to help drive growth through broker partnerships and quality underwriting decisions from theirCremorne office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Underwrite and manage a portfolio acrossSME Packages / SME Commercialrisks




- Drive new business growth by developing strong, value-adding broker relationships
- Be highly visible in-market—spending time in broker offices, working with broking teams on opportunities
- Review submissions/slips with brokers andmake confident underwriting decisions
- Provide practical underwriting support and solutions to help brokers win and place business
- Maintain accurate underwriting records and contribute to ongoing process improvement

We are looking for someone with:

- Proven underwriting experience in Biz Packs / SME Commercial
- Strong broker-facing capability with confidence building senior relationships in‑person
- A commercial, proactive approach—comfortable operating in a rapid‑moving environment
- Great communication skills and the ability to influence outcomes
- Energy, presence and a growth mindset (suited to someone looking to move away from a more corporate setting)
