SENIOR TAX CONSULTANT – ADVISORY & RESEARCH - WIDE BAY-BURNETT – PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FIRM (JOB ID 1429)

Our client is seeking a Senior Tax consultant with an advisory and research focus to join a busy and well-regarded professional services firm in Bundaberg. This role provides the opportunity to work across a diverse client base, including SMEs, family groups and multinational corporations, delivering high-quality advisory services and contributing to the growth of the advisory team.

The Role:

- Conduct in-depth research on complex Australian and international tax matters across corporations, partnerships, trusts and high-net-worth individuals

- Provide expert advice to advisory team members and clients on issues such as Small Business CGT Concessions, FBT, GST, residency, transfer pricing, thin capitalisation and withholding tax

- Prepare taxation advice letters for clients and memorandums for compliance teams

- Analyse complex transactions and identify key tax issues and planning opportunities

- Deliver clear, client-friendly recommendations and high-quality professional advice

- Prepare presentations and internal training papers to support knowledge sharing within the team

About You:

- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Law, or similar

- CA, CPA, or CTA qualified (or equivalent)





- Ideally 5+ years’ experience in Public Practice, with a strong background in tax advisory and/or compliance

- Advanced knowledge of Australian tax law and the ability to navigate complex transactions

- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional client service
