This is a rare opportunity to take on one of the mostinfluential property industry leadership roles in Victoria.

The Property Council of Australia is the champion ofAustralia’s largest industry - an industry that employs 1.4 million Australiansand helps shape the future of our cities, communities and economy. Our membersspan the full breadth of the property sector, from investors, owners, managersand developers through to the professional services firms that support them.

As our VIC Executive Director, you will lead the PropertyCouncil’s Victorian Division and be the senior voice of the property industryacross the state. This is a highly visible executive leadership role, requiringa confident and credible leader who can influence at the highest levels,represent our members with presence and authority, and position the PropertyCouncil as the trusted voice of the industry in Victoria.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will work closely withthe Group Executive Committee, national teams, the Victorian President andDivision Council, our members, government, industry stakeholders and the mediato advance the priorities of the Victorian property sector.

About the role

In this role, you will lead the strategic direction,advocacy agenda, commercial performance and team leadership of the VictorianDivision. You will be at the forefront of public debate on the issues shapingproperty in Victoria, from planning, housing, investment and infrastructurethrough to economic growth, liveability and the future of our cities.

You will be responsible for building trusted relationshipswith senior government decision-makers, Ministers, Shadow Ministers, advisers,public servants, councils, members, sponsors, partners and the media. You willlead advocacy campaigns, shape policy positions, contribute to submissions andthought leadership, and represent the Property Council at senior forums, eventsand public engagements.

A key part of the role will be ensuring our members see realvalue in their engagement with the Property Council.



You will work closely withthe Victorian team to strengthen member relationships, grow commercialopportunities, support successful events and partnerships, and deliversustainable revenue and financial outcomes for the Division.

As a member of the Property Council’s executive leadershipgroup, you will also contribute to national strategy and organisationalpriorities, ensuring Victoria’s priorities are aligned with broader nationalobjectives.

What you’ll lead

You will:

- Be the leadingpublic voice of the property industry in Victoria, representing the PropertyCouncil in the media, at industry events and in senior stakeholder forums.
- Lead high-impactadvocacy, policy and government relations activity that supports memberpriorities and influences policy, legislative and regulatory outcomes.
- Build andmaintain solid relationships with government, opposition, public sectorleaders, councils, industry bodies, members, sponsors and partners.
- Lead thedevelopment of Victorian policy positions, campaigns, submissions, research andthought leadership.
- Drive thecommercial performance of the Victorian Division, including membership,sponsorship, events, partnerships, revenue growth and budget management.
- Work with theVictorian President and Division Council to ensure effective governance, strongmember engagement and clear strategic priorities.
- Lead, coach anddevelop a high-performing Victorian team, creating a culture of accountability,collaboration, inclusion and solid delivery.
- Champion theProperty Council’s values and contribute as a senior leader across the broadernational organisation.

About you





We are looking for an exceptional senior leader with strongpresence, sound judgement and the ability to influence across government,industry and the media.

You may bring experience from advocacy, public affairs,government relations, industry associations, membership organisations, businessleadership, property, infrastructure, policy or a related sector. Mostimportantly, you will have the credibility, confidence and strategic capabilityto represent a major industry body and engage effectively with seniorstakeholders.

You will bring:

- Significantsenior leadership experience, including leading teams and operating atexecutive level.
- A strong trackrecord in advocacy, public affairs, government relations, policy influence orstakeholder engagement.
- Confidencerepresenting an organisation publicly, including through media, speakingengagements and senior forums.
- Strong commercialand financial acumen, with experience driving revenue, managing budgets andidentifying growth opportunities.
- Excellentcommunication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- A strongunderstanding of the Victorian political, policy and economic environment.
- Knowledge of theproperty industry, planning, housing, investment, infrastructure or relatedpolicy areas will be highly regarded.
- A collaborative,resilient and politically astute operating style, with the ability to balancemember value, advocacy priorities and commercial outcomes.
