The Opportunity
Our Sport and Exercise Science discipline plays a vital role in delivering industry-relevant education, supporting student success, and contributing to healthier communities.
You will join a collaborative academic team delivering high-quality teaching across key programs in Sport and Exercise Science and Clinical Exercise Physiology, including large service courses that support diverse student cohorts. In this role, you will also have the opportunity to develop your research profile and strengthen your professional expertise within a supportive academic environment.

You will contribute to a student-centred learning environment, participate in research projects aligned with your interests, and build meaningful industry and community connections that enhance graduate outcomes.

You will:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences that support student success across a range of modes and settings;
- Contribute to curriculum design, development, review and improvement, using contemporary teaching practices and technologies;
- Engage in scholarly teaching practice, including assessment, feedback, academic administration and continuous improvement activities;
- Develop and contribute to a growing research profile through research projects, publications, collaboration and knowledge sharing; and
- Support research activities, including grant opportunities and supervision/co-supervision of Higher Degree by Research candidates.

You will possess:
- Completion of or enrolment in a doctoral qualification in a relevant field and equivalent accreditation and standing in Exercise Science or Exercise Physiology with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA);
- Effectiveness as a teacher including the capacity to conceive, develop and deliver higher education curricula and contribute to relevant areas of teaching;
- Research experience and potential including for example: refereed publications, participation in research teams and sound knowledge of research methodologies relevant to the discipline/field;
- Membership of and sound connections with relevant professional bodies and community groups and/or in professional practice;
- Strong personal qualities and collegial approaches that contribute to the development and maintenance of a positive academic environment which is conducive to engagement and achievement for both staff and students; and
- The desire to participate in academic development activities and continue to learn and improve as an effective academic.
