We are currently seeking reliable and motivated Factory Operators to join a well-established Australian manufacturing business based in Taren Point.
Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of reinforcing steel and steel reinforcement products used across the construction and infrastructure industries. With a strong reputation and a busy production environment, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for secure, ongoing work with the potential to secure a permanent position.
About the Role
Working as part of a busy production and manufacturing team, you will be responsible for a variety of duties including:
- Operating steel cutting and bending machinery
- Loading and unloading steel products
- General factory and warehouse labouring
- Manual handling of steel products
- Assisting with production and manufacturing processes
- Operating overhead cranes - full training provided
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures
- Working as part of a team to achieve daily production targets
What We're Looking For
The successful candidates will have:
- Previous experience in a factory, manufacturing, warehouse or production environment
- A strong work ethic and reliable attendance
- Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual handling tasks
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A willingness to learn and operate production machinery
- A positive attitude and a desire to secure ongoing employment
Full training will be provided, including training in overhead crane operation, so previous crane experience is not essential.
