About the role
You'll play an important role in making sure our team members across our Venues and Support Office receive a seamless payroll experience. Payroll is more than just numbers — it's about making sure our people are paid accurately, on time and have a positive experience.
Key responsibilities
- Process end-to-end payroll accurately and on time across multiple locations
- Ensure payroll is processed in accordance with relevant awards, enterprise agreements, legislation and company policies
- Review timesheets, rosters, leave, allowances, overtime, penalties and other payroll adjustments
- Work closely with venue managers to resolve payroll queries and ensure accurate information is submitted
- Respond to employee payroll enquiries with a helpful, people-first approach
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies
- Complete payroll reconciliations and reporting
- Assist with payroll-related audits and compliance requirements
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure confidentiality of employee information
- Support new starters, transfers, changes to employment conditions and terminations
About you
- Previous experience in a payroll role, preferably within hospitality or another award-based environment
- Sound knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and relevant modern awards
- Experience working with payroll and/or rostering systems, EMPLOYMENT HERO experience highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with people at all levels
- A genuine desire to help people and provide great internal customer service
- The ability to manage deadlines and stay calm when things get busy
- Solid problem-solving skills and a willingness to investigate issues
- A high level of confidentiality and integrity
- Must be willing to obtain and hold a suitable National Police Check
- Full time or part-time hours considered
- Work with a supportive people and culture team and a welcoming finance team
- Rostered Day Off every month
